Meaning of Ikisawa
Iki (生き) – “Life” or “Purpose” (from Ikigai)
Sawa (沢) – “Abundance, Flow, Valley” (symbolizing creativity, collaboration, and natural inspiration)
Fusion of Filipino & Japanese – While "sawa" in Filipino can mean fulfillment, it also symbolizes continuous artistic exploration
The Beginnings
Two Filipino women, Christal & Angel, wanted to create a place where artists gather to create, inspire, and grow together. It embodies the idea that creativity is an ever-moving force—like a river through a valley—full of abundance and shared purpose.
